As I was just lying awake in bed crying, I realized I forgot to catch everyone up to date about all of my adventures thus far. Here's an abbreviated version of the past 7 1/2 months...

This lady here is my Mommy. You can't see me yet, but I'm there in her tummy. This picture was taken the night before I was born. We went to the hospital (Saint Luke's South in Overland Park, Kansas) on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 8 pm to get induced, because the doctor was afraid I was too large.

Here's my Daddy the night before I was born. He was so nice to me and Mommy while I was in her tummy. He would tell me goodnight EVERY night before bed and good morning each morning. He made sure Mommy rested (and even put up with her aversion for Mexican food!). Little does Daddy know here, but I sure will look a lot like him!!

Well, this is me, just a few minutes after I was born. I weighed 8 lbs 12 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. I was born at 6:18 pm on Friday, October 24, 2008. I had a little bit of fluid in my lungs so Daddy and Mommy were very worried about me. My apgar scores were 8 and 9 at 1 and 5 minutes, respectively. I stayed in the nursery, because my breathing wasn't as good as the nurses wanted it to be. Don't get me wrong... I still woke Daddy and Mommy up every 2 hours that first night!! :)

This is us. The Rothfuss Family. I guess I should tell you what Mommy and Daddy decided to name me. My first name is Daelynn... and here's why. Daddy, Grandpa Mike, and Great-Grandpa Kenny's middle names are all Dale. Mommy and Daddy knew they wanted Dale to be in my name somewhere- but they didn't know how. Mommy made up my name (but she felt better when she finally found it in a baby book!). It is spelled the way it is, because Mommy's first and middle name make up the first four letters of my name... DAnielle ELizabeth. Also, Grandma Sandy's middle name is Rae and Grandma Paula's middle name is Pauline. This name fits me perfectly and represents everyone I love! My middle name is Dawn after my Grandpa Don and Great-Grandpa Don.

This is me with Grandpa Don. You can't tell from this picture, but I have his beautiful blue eyes. He is the only one on both sides of the family that has blue eyes, and mine are the EXACT same shade as his!

This picture is of my first bath. I still remember it like it was yesterday! I definitely did not like my first bath. Daddy was much better than Mommy at doing this so Mommy decided to take the pictures while Daddy gave the bath!

Mommy's Little Glo-worm. That's what she called me. I had to have phototherapy when I was just 3 days old, because my bilirubin was up to 11. I had also lost weight and was down to only 7 lbs and a few ounces, so I had to be supplemented with formula. Boy howdy I LOVED my formula! After just one day of phototherapy, my bilirubin was almost back to normal so I didn't have to use the lights anymore.

While I was sick, Grandma Paula stayed with us to make sure we were all doing okay. She helped Mommy so much by watching me so Mommy and Daddy could get some sleep. She rocked me to sleep and even helped with my first bath!

Here I am with Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Mike! I just love playing with them- they both make me laugh EVERYTIME I see them. Grandma Sandy stayed with me for about 6 months while Daddy was working and Mommy finished school. We had such a great time together... I sure do miss them lots!

Happy Halloween!! I was a ladybug for my first Halloween. Mommy searched and searched for costume and finally found this one at Target. Mommy is already asking me and Daddy about what I should be for Halloween this year. We keep telling her she's crazy and that it's only June!

Here I am with my Auntie Angela and cousin Wyatt! I love him soooo much- he always gives me lots of kisses and makes sure I am having fun. He came and saw me in the hospital and even held me!! He used to call me Baby, but now he knows how to say Daelynn. What a smartie!

Here is our 5 generation photograph! In this picture is me, my Daddy, Grandma Sandy, Great-Grandpa Don, and Great-Great Grandma Agnes. This was taken when I was just over a month old.

Oh Derek the Uncle- you are soo silly! We are best buds. He teaches me all sorts of things that Mommy and Daddy probably shouldn't know about! Here he is with a bow on his head before church on Christmas Eve!!!

HoHoHo Merry Christmas! This is my first photo with Santa. I was such a big girl... I didn't even cry. I was soo confused, because all these big kids around me were crying their eyes out. It wasn't so bad- I just told him what I wanted for Christmas and we got our picture taken. Mommy and Daddy had to wait in line for over an hour to get my picture taken with him... that's what they get for waiting until December 23 to take me to see Santa!

Here I am after my Baptism into the Catholic faith. I was a little over 3 months old when I got baptized in Lenexa, Kansas, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. My godfather is Derek the Uncle and my godmother is Auntie Angela.

Brush, Brush, Brush... Scrub, Scrub, Scrub! Mommy is brushing my bottom two teeth for the first time! I got my first two teeth when I was one week shy of being 3 months old! I guess this is kinda early for babies- I keep telling everyone to get used to it 'cuz I'm advanced!

Oh Brother! What are you feeding me now??!! I'll have to admit- I was not a fan of vegetables to begin with. I was started out on squash which, I must say, is the nastiest stuff I have EVER eaten. Now I am eating veggies, fruits, puffs, yogurt melts, grapes, bananas... I guess you could say I'm no longer an amateur eater! Note: I still do not like squash! :)

This is the first time I went outside this spring! Me and Mommy sat outside for about 20 minutes and talked. I LOVE being outside!

Happy Easter!! I got to go on my first Easter Egg Hunt downtown in Clay Center. I even saw the Easter Bunny!!! He left me a basket with toys and fruit in it! I'm really not sure why Daddy and Mommy ALWAYS give me kisses... I guess it's because my cheeks are so squishy!

I wore an itsy bitsy teeny weeny... okay the rest of the song doesn't really apply except that it's my FIRST BIKINI! Summer here I come! In the new place we live in, we have a baby swimming pool. I can't wait to sit and splash in it!

This is my first big girl bath in our new house! I LOVE sitting in the water, but I'm still a little scared to splash too much. This is me with my bathtub mirror. I love looking at the little baby in the mirror- but she is ALWAYS doing the same thing as me!!

Mommy has this crazy obsession with getting my picture taken every month. Here I am at 6 months with my angel wings. This month I could finally sit up all on my own!

Here I am with Auntie Danae! She likes to tango with me. She is soooo much fun and love when she comes to visit me. Before she knows it, I will be begging her to teach me all kinds of dance moves!!!

My first trip to Chuck E. Cheese! I absolutely love that mouse- I couldn't keep my eyes off him. We went there just a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait to go back. Hopefully I'll be big enough to ride on some of the fun toys that my cousin, Wyatt, was riding on!

Man, if I could whistle right now I would! This is my boyfriend, Hayden! He lives in Clay Center with his parents, Kris and Amber. He came to visit me a couple of weekends ago, and we had such a great time! Don't tell Mommy and Daddy, but we even kissed!! Aren't we sooo cute?

Well... that was me in a nutshell. I've had a pretty busy 7 1/2 months thus far- wouldn't you say? I know I might complain, but I really do love my life and everyone in it. So, until next time, adios!!!
