I'm Walkin' on Sunshine!

Hello all!!! Yeah, I know it's been over a month (almost two) since I've posted anything on here. In that time, I've been on vacation to Branson, started saying words, and even been through TWO different daycares! Mommy started school again last month so I don't have much time to get on here to write (she's SUCH a computer hog).

Take a look at what I've been up to over the past couple of days!!

Just Call Me Dr. Daelynn Doolittle

I have the coolest Daddy ever! He surprised Mommy and me this morning and took us to The Farmstead. Oh my gosh, I had so much fun!!! Who would've guessed that this place was only a couple of miles from our house!

When we first got there, Mommy made Daddy stop and get his picture taken with me.
And then, we barely got through the door and Mommy made us take MORE pictures!!!

I really like this picture... except the guy's butt is in the way!!! I guess either way, it makes a fant-ass-tic picture! (Don't tell Mommy I said that!)
Here I am looking at the chickens. Daddy and Mommy sing Old McDonald Had a Farm to me all the time, so I knew chickens said "cluck cluck".
They had these really cool butterflies that you could stick your head through. I really didn't want to do it...
But Mommy made me!
Then we went to the goat exhibit.
They had these little goats that Mommy called "toddler goats". You could feed them some food, but we didn't have any quarters. Thank goodness because they were scary! I don't want those things eating out of MY hands!
Here are some geese that say "Honk, Honk!" I kind of liked looking at them.
They even had a pond that you could go fishing in! I can't wait until I'm a little bit older and have better use of my thumbs so I can go fishing!
At the Farmstead, they had a lot of really cool buildings that you could go through. Here's me with Daddy sitting on the front porch of Mommy's favorite house.
They had a little kids cabin, too! Who comes up with this stuff?
Mommy said this is a conastoga wagon. Daddy says, "Are you sure, I've never heard that word before." And Mommy said, "Haven't you ever played Oregon Trail?" Hahaha (what does Oregon Trail mean?)
The Farmstead was soooo cool. They had a lot of little pathways that you could take and walk, and it was all covered by trees. I can't wait to go back there!
We had such a great time today, but I sure was pooped after our long day at the farmstead. I fell asleep in the car on the way home!

One of Many Photo Shoots

When we were going to pick up Daddy the other night in Lee's Summit, Mommy called the radio station to win Miley Cyrus tickets... and she was caller 16!! Well, she said she didn't really like Miley Cyrus so they gave her a new t.v. instead!!! Here I am crawling all over it.

Today, Mommy got me all dressed up and took me outside for (another) photo shoot. I was pretty ticked off at first- I hadn't even had a bottle yet!

But then, the garbage truck came around and I loved staring at it.

Mommy gave me yogurt and a waffle for lunch. It was really, really funny when I spilled it all over the floor... but Mommy didn't laugh.

Look at what I can do now! I'm pretty much an expert at feeding myself now!

And look what I did when Mommy wasn't looking!!

Daddy's Home!

For the past week, Mommy and Daddy have let me cry myself to sleep, because the pediatrician told them that was what was best for me. Who is she kidding?! It was pretty much the most horrible thing that has ever happened to me.

So anyways, Daddy left on Sunday night for Chicago and wouldn't you know- I slept ALL night in my crib. I'm talking 12 hours here! I decided it would be fun to do that again, so I did it on Monday and Tuesday night too! Mommy and I tried to go to a movie together again on Tuesday afternoon, but Mommy decided to leave because I kept talking. Then we came home and took a nap :)

It is so good to have Daddy back home, but it sounds like he sure had a good time. He got to go to Wrigley Field and watch the Cubs play baseball. They lost, but he still had fun!
He also got to eat at all kinds of weird places, as you can see!
Overall, me and Mommy had an okay week- but it's so much better to have Daddy home! On the way to pick up Daddy from Lee's Summit, Mommy was listening to the radio and won a t.v.! I wanted it in MY room, but they decided to put it in their bedroom instead. Shucks!
P.S. What does my mother dress me in? Oh Brother!

Mommy's Crazy Addiction

Okay, so here's the story. My mommy has this addiction with 1) Taking my picture and 2) Getting my picture professionally taken. I've had my picture professionally taken when I've been 1 Day Old, 1 Week, 1 Month, 2 Months, 3 Months, 4 Months, 5 Months, 6 Months, and, now, 9 Months. That's a whole lotta picture taking. I'm pretty much used to it though. In fact, my Mommy even says you could even use the term "photogenic" to describe me.

Well, here's my latest photo session (taken today). These are me and Mommy's favorites... we had 134 to choose from!!! Talk about a tough day's work!
**Mommy note: While the lady was taking the picture below (with her arms in the air), she was really getting into it! Right before she took this one, the photographer literally said, "Okay girl, strike a pose!" And Daelynn lifted her arms in the air- it looks like she's practicing to be a ballerina!!!**
This one is Mommy's favorite!
I bet after looking at these, you're wishing "They all could be California Girls" like me!!!

FINALLY!

You can probably guess that I've been pretty darn busy the past couple of weeks- that's why I haven't updated my blog!

We had a great 4th of July weekend! I was entered in a baby contest back in Clay Center, but it got rained out. Grandma Sandy made my headband- isn't it soo cute?
We went swimming two times that weekend! My cousin, Wyatt, and I had such a fun time. He even jumped into the pool- he's such a big boy! My boyfriend, Hayden, came swimming with us also. Here I am trying to play with him. Mommy keeps telling me that I need to play a little hard to get!
I love to swim with my Daddy. He is a very good swimmer. He even puts me under the water. I don't mind it too much except it takes me a couple of seconds to catch my bearings. Can you tell that I'm my father's daughter in this picture?
Here's another picture of me swimming with Daddy. His whiskers tickle me!
On 4th of July, we went out to my Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma's house to shoot fireworks. They live out in the country, so me and Daddy just sat and watched the sun go down.
When the fireworks started going off, I DID NOT LIKE THEM? How can people watch them for fun?? They are so loud... in fact, I would go so far to say they are down right annoying!
I made Grandma take me inside while they were going off. Thank heavens for grandmas!
The next day, Grandpa and I had a great time playing on the Merry-Go-Round. When we ride on it, I have to watch all the cars that pass by. Someday, I'll probably be a mechanic, because cars fascinate me!
We went and saw my Great-Great- Grandma. Can you believe I have a great great grandma? She is my dad's mom's dad's mom (if that even makes sense!). She let me play on her new walker. It is definitely the cadillac of walkers.
This past weekend, Daddy, Mommy and I went back to Clay Center again. I've been suffering from insomnia for the past couple of weeks, so Grandpa and Grandma took me back to Clay Center a day early so Mommy and Daddy could rest. Here's a picture with me and my other boyfriend, Fernando. I wanted to kiss him back, but my parents were watching... well, what would you have done?!?!
Wyatt's birthday was on Sunday. Can you believe he turned 2?! He's pretty much over the hill in my eyes. I had a great time playing with his balloons.
He even let me help him open his presents!! I'm just practicing up for my first birthday- which is only 3 months away!!!!! I have a feeling that my Mommy has already started planning it. Silly Mommy!
Even though it wasn't my birthday, my Auntie Angela gave me one of Wyatt's old toys. It is a house that I can crawl through. It has a door, a doorbell, and a light switch, which is so much fun!!
If I were to tell you how much I like this toy, I would have to say that Derek the Uncle LOVES it! He sat on the ground and played with me tonight. He kept saying that my boyfriends were sending me love letters, but I told him to RETURN TO SENDER!! :)
My Auntie Angela made the coolest cake ever for Wyatt's birthday! It is ELMO!!

She did such a great job and Wyatt had a pretty spectacular birthday! Here are more pics of him during his party!!!

Keep your eye out for my new pics tomorrow! Mommy is taking me to get my 9 month pictures tomorrow... but what will I wear?!?!
